The under-representation of women in skilled trades is well documented. Numerous studies and stacks of data support this fact, as does anecdotal evidence (a visit to almost any construction site will confirm the scarcity of female skilled workers). Currently, women in the nuclear industry working in skilled trades and technologies represent less than ten percent of the total workforce.
