The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is pleased to announce that Shara Bonds will join the team as Business Support and Project Coordinator on Tuesday, April 2nd.
In Shara’s new role, she will support WDB’s business operations and build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders. She is also responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of key project activities. Shara will work closely with WDB’s CEO to monitor projects to ensure that objectives and deliverables are met, in addition to engaging with community partners to promote WDB’s resources.
“Shara brings over 7 years of extensive program and project coordination experience in the not-for-profit and private sectors,” said CEO Jennifer Lamantia. “We are looking forward to working with Shara and we are excited to see her apply her industry experience and strong administrative skills to WDB.”

Shara earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Mary’s University and has over seven years experience in client services, administration, and project coordination. Shara worked as Program Coordinator at Product Care Recycling where she assisted with the design, development, and delivery of product stewardship plans. In this role, she was responsible for working with provincial regulators, program industry members, service providers and stakeholders to develop, manage and expand a province-wide collection and recycling system for end-of-life products. Prior to that she worked for Recycling Alternative as Client Services, Administration and Special Projects Coordinator where she engaged with clients, managed the development of a new company website, instituted recycling programs and developed training materials. Shara recently returned to the Peterborough area from British Columbia, and we are excited to have her on board at WDB.
